Till we see you again.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Our Queen, Cassie M Broussard. A devoted mother, loving friend, and a Woman of simplicity, who left us peacefully on April 29th, 2025.
Cassie passed away on April 29, 2025. Born on January 30, 1951, in Beaufort, South Carolina. Cassie lived a life marked by compassion, and deep devotion to her family.
Cassie was known for her vibrant personality and nurturing heart. She found joy in spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids!
She found her greatest joy in the company of those she loved, always putting others before herself. Her kindness, humility, and red lipstick will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will live on through the lives of her children and family.
Above all else, Cassie cherished her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Laketa Broussard (Alex), her son Andrew Broussard (Alicia), her grandsons Dalvin, Jordan, Jamari, and Andrew Brousard Jr ; and great granddaughters who she loved dearly, Tru Mone' Broussard and Lillian Dawn Broussard. She also leaves behind her brother Leon Chisolm Jr. (aka Smokey) along with a host of family and friends with a special shoutout to Annie Rivers and Ebony Chaplin. Her generous spirit, laughter, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
We find peace knowing she is in Heaven with her daughter Dawn Broussard, both in the arms of God. She will be missed more than words can say.
May Cassie Broussard's memories bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
