Cathalene Oliver "Cathy" Hamm

Cathalene "Cathy" Oliver Hamm, 75, Sheffield, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Visitation will be Monday, March 17, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Shane Swinney officiating. Interment will be in Barton Cemetery, Cherokee.
Cathalene loved bingo, Tunica, and spending time with her family. Her grandsons were the loves of her life. She was the best mom and wife and loved her family and friends dearly. To know her was to love her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Lilly Mae Oliver; brothers-in-law, Daniel Hamm, Phillip Hamm, Butch Hamm, Gerald Hamm, Waymon Tidwell, and Bobby Holden; sister-in-law, Martha Hall; and several aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
Cathalene is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Sammie Hamm; daughter, Angie Wilson (Kevin); brothers-in-law, Greg Hamm (Patricia) and Wayne Hamm; sisters-in-law, Linda Holden, Judy Tidwell, Renee Hamm, Kay Hamm, and Jane Hamm; grandchildren, Jake Whitten and Nick Whitten; special friends and family, Danny and Shaunda Carmack; cousins, Linda and John Fields, Rose and James Baker, Margaret and Jimmy Landers, James and Tammy Baker, James Oliver, Patricia Patterson, Dianne Grisham, Ricky Denton, Ricky Kandra Choat, Kitty Oliver, Judy and Wanda Thomas, and several others.
Pallbearers will be Jake Whitten, Nick Whitten, Danny Carmack, Robbie Whitten, and Jordan Carmack. Colton Carmack will serve as honorary pallbearer.
