Catherine Abrams Obituary
She was born in Scotland County on May 14, 1941, to the late John Baxter Teal and Zula Mae McGee Teal.
Catherine was a beautiful lady that, above all, loved God with all of her heart and served him faithfully. Throughout her life, she enjoyed singing in her local church choirs. She had many friends and she had a passion for cooking for social and church events. Along with her sister Virginia, they would provide and carry food to families during times of bereavement. Catherine also loved to garden and make beautiful quilts. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by them all.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie L. Abrams; son, Jeffrey Abrams; brothers, Tom, Jerry, John, and Bob Teal; and sister, Virginia Abrams.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Susan Rogers (Kirk) of Rockingham; granddaughter, LaDonna Quick of Rockingham; great-granddaughter, Anna Vo; sister, Eva Sue Currie (Sandy) of Laurel Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2025 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 12 noon, in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Webster officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
