Catherine Ann Adams, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 25, 2025, at the age of 69. A longtime resident of Buffalo, Texas, Catherine was known for her deep love of family and the quiet strength that touched all who knew her.
Born on November 24, 1955, Catherine was the cherished daughter of the late Jerrie Lee Bothe and Adolph "Jack" Bothe, and the granddaughter of Geraldine Snyder Bobo and Charles Max Bobo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jerrie; her stepfather, Jack; and her younger brother, Steven Lee Bob - all of whom she loved deeply and remembered fondly throughout her life.
Catherine was the proud mother of two daughters, Heather Ann Booker and Christina Lynn Fickinger. She found great joy in being a grandmother to Nathan Booker, Bryanna Booker, Mason Fickinger, and Scott Fickinger, and was especially delighted to become a great-grandmother to Vivian Salinas - a new light in the legacy of her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Curtis Adams; her daughters and their families; and her loving sisters, Madeline Ruffine and Mary Bremer. Catherine is also survived by extended family members and friends who were deeply enriched by her presence and kindness.
Catherine's life was one of deep faith, service, and quiet strength. She had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and supported - whether through her warm heart, thoughtful words, or steady presence. In her love for her family and her steadfast spirit, she reflected the comfort and shelter of God's promises: "He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler." - Psalm 91:4 (KJV)
Professionally, Catherine was accomplished and highly respected. In 2010, she earned the designation of Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) from the American Payroll Association, a testament to her dedication, intelligence, and integrity in her field. She brought the same diligence and care to her career that she so freely in her personal life.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service for Catherine will be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Pastor of Calvary Christian Center, Jack Smith, will officiate the service. A visitation will take place prior from 9 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
