Catherine "Cathy" Bessler

Catherine “Cathy” Bessler peacefully departed this life on May 27, 2023, at the age of 73. Cathy was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Sheila Bessler. She is survived by her adoring brother, Timothy (Sheri) Bessler, and a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Cathy possessed a wide array of talents and accomplishments. To name a few, she was classically trained in piano and had been told by her teachers at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) that she could have pursued a career as a concert pianist. She was also a talented choreographer and former Oak Hills Oakette, UC Bearkitten, and Cincinnati Bengal Cheerleader.

Aside from her family, her greatest love was as an educator for the Oak Hills School District, and her reputation for excellence among her former students of French and English in a career spanning thirty years is unparalleled.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, June 5th, from 5:00 pm until a time of sharing at 7:00 pm at the Dalbert Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45238. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Boudinot LaRosas.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care Cathy received in her final days from the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati and would like to encourage memorial donations to be made in her honor.
