CARROLL Catherine Ann Carroll, 67, of Midlothian, born March 22, 1939, in Jersey City, N.J., died September 13, 2006. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Mary Sherry; husband, Robert Carroll; brothers, Joseph and Thomas Sherry; sisters, Viola Watson and Beatrice Schaeff; and ex-husband, Raymond Daly Sr. She is survived by her sons, Raymond Daly (Heike) of Maryland, Edward Daly (Nancy) of Mississippi, Thomas Daly (Joanne) of New Jersey and Roger Daly of Richmond; daughter, Amy Carroll of Richmond; grandchildren, Thomas, Sean and Colleen Daly and their mother, Jill Daly, and Jessica and Jenna Fillipoli; brother, Edward Sherry of Nevada; sisters, Joan Brew (John) of Nevada, Margaret Fox (John) of New Jersey and Rosemary McGraw (Kenneth) of New Jersey; mother-in-law, Dorothea Carroll of New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Pat Fortenbach (John) of New Jersey, Kathleen Osmun of New Jersey and Jean Sherry of New Jersey; brother-in-law, Harold Watson of Nevada; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Cathy spent her life loving, caring for and giving selflessly to others, and her family wishes to thank those who loved, cared for and supported her. Special thanks to George, Annette and Chris Williams, Al, Sharon and Ryan Ten, John, Sally, John Jr. and Daniel Shultz, Tim, Jennifer, Alan and Matt Williamson, Kathie Fore and the offices and staff of Drs. Peter Condro, James Wigand, C. Foster Jennings and John Detrick, Karen Elliott and all of the nurses at Davita and the staff at Manor Care at Stratford Hall for their loving support. Her family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Catholic Church of the Epiphany. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. Family and friends should gather at the funeral home by 10 a.m. for a procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
