Catherine "Cathy" Anderson Garcia, 81, of Leesburg, GA passed away, Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her residence. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny White will officiate.
Born in Gourock, Scotland, Mrs. Garcia was retired from Woodgrain. She enjoyed entertaining, making others happy, spending time with her family, visiting the Restore with Bob, breakfast at Three Squares, supper at Albany Moose Lodge #1285 where she was a member, karaoke with Cooper and dancing. She loved life and lived it big. Most of all she loved her family and all of her friends. She never met a stranger.
Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, David Anderson and Jean Patton Anderson and her husband, Michael John Garcia.
Survivors include her companion, Bob Nichols, Leesburg, GA, children, Joanne Martin, Jacksonville, FL, son, David L. Howell, Sr. (Tammy), Leesburg, GA, siblings, Marie McMillan (Ian), Gourock, Scotland, Jake Anderson, Scotland, Harry Anderson (Susie), France, Doreen Steele (Jim), Scotland, grandchildren, Dorothy Farabee (Austin), David L. Howell, Jr. (Brittany), Randy Reid, Ian Martin, "God Child" Karen Askew (Tommy), great grandchildren, Peyton Farabee, Kinsley Howell, Karmie Howell, Stratton Farabee.
The family will receive friends following the services at Mathews Funeral Home.
