Catherine Ann Bartels Cook, 82, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2025, at her residence.

A Mass will be held Friday, 10:00am, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Mark Van-Alstine officiating.

Coming from Tampa, FL, Catherine had lived in Brunswick for the past 3 years, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was an avid volunteer, including volunteering with St. Vincent DePaul and the craft group. She will be remembered by friends and family for her selflessness in doing for others before herself, and her dedication to her faith. She will also be remembered for her long career in banking and finance, most recently with Wells Fargo in South Florida, and her previous church membership at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Valrico, FL, where she started the Legion of Mary and also served as a Sacristan.

Survivors include her children; Christopher Cook (Andrea) of Tampa, Fl, Patricia LaNeve (John) of Waynesville, GA, Charles Cook of Jacksonville, FL, her grandchildren; Johnny LaNeve of Brunswick, Joseph LaNeve of Phoenix, AZ, Michael LaNeve of Stuart, FL, and Matthew LaNeve (Ysabel) of Brunswick, great granddaughters; Serafina and Stella LaNeve, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the youngest of 6 siblings whom preceded her in death, and was also preceded in death by her parents, Albert Fred and Matilda Florence Levernier Bartels.
