As a nephew of Kay´s deceased husband, I have fond memories of her and him both. Kay worked in Massachusetts for speaker of the house John McCormick In 1965 at the behest of her bother in law, my father, she secured a recommend letter to the Navy for me from the speaker himself It was instrumental in getting me approval for OCS at a time when it had 15 qualified applicants vying for each slot, due to draft pressure.
I received a Navy commission in time to experience the 1967 Summer of Love in a far different manner than did San Francisco flowers in their hair people
After my full navy career, she received a long letter of thanks and wrote back a warm, reflective letter of her own. She was classy and smart.
I´ll make it a point to think about her on June 14th - fittingly Flag Day

My sister, Carole Murray Walsh, loved finding Kay on the Cape. They discovered Forest Hills roots from way back. I saw Kay more than once while visiting and lately kept her abreast of my sister's situation. I loved talking to Kay, she was so "with it". I know I met brother Bill when I was a kid, at all the Murray weddings. We send our sympathy to all Kay's family. Donna Murray Carpinella.
