Catherine Marie Dowling

Catherine "Cis" Marie (Connor) Dowling of Plymouth died peacefully on April 10th at Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehab in Buzzards Bay. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Edward Dowling. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 25, 1932, daughter of the late John and Katherine M. (Nee) Connor she attended schools in South Boston and was a graduate of Gate of Heaven High School. Cis grew up in South Boston and later moved to Roslindale and then to Dedham where she and her late husband Richard raised their family. She was a longtime employee of New England Telephone where she worked as an operator and later in the admin department. She later moved to Plymouth where she lived in The Pinehills for the past 20 years. During her time in Plymouth she was active with activities at the clubhouse at Great Island and with her North Plymouth Gal pals.
She is survived by her children Richard E. Dowling Jr of Duxbury, Eileen E. Perry and her husband Christopher of Marshfield and Sean P. Dowling and his wife Lori of Plymouth. She was the mother of the late Christine M. Fischer of Marshfield. Also survived by her son in law William Fischer of Marshfield. She was the sister of John P. Connor and his wife Hope of Brockton. Cherished grandmother of Kristen, Lauren, Ryan, Danielle, Richard III, Patrick, Drew, Brianna, Jordan, Christopher, Sean Jr. and Liam. Great grandmother of 13 and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 619 State Rd. Plymouth (Manomet) on Wednesday April 17th from 9:00 am – 10:30 am a Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Bonaventure Church in Manomet. Burial will follow at MA. National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15 pm. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA. 02452
