Melissa Juliette Seepersad, 45, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2025, at BID Plymouth. She was born on May 13, 1980, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, to Jeremiah Seepersad and Ann (Maturasingh) Seepersad.

Melissa was a proud scholar and accomplished professional. In 2006, she graduated as valedictorian of Curry College with her first bachelor's degree and later went on to pursue her MBA. She built a distinguished career in Human Resources Information Systems, beginning with ITG in Boston, and most recently served as the Global Payroll and HRIS Director for Centerline Communications LLC.

In 2009, Melissa's prayers were answered when she met and married the love of her life, James Anthony. Their marriage was a true partnership, rooted in faith and love.

Melissa was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her cousins Mikey, Nigel, Karen, and Camille, and her uncle, Isiah.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James Anthony of Plymouth; her nephew, Meshech Seepersad of Plymouth; her sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Cheryl and Michael Butts of Plymouth; her nieces, Courtney and Alexis Butts of Plymouth; her father, Jeremiah Seepersad of Rising Sun, MD; her sister, Ingrid Seepersad of Rising Sun, MD; her brother, Kern Seepersad of Rising Sun, MD; her niece, Zaara Batchoo of Rising Sun, MD; and her mother, Ann Seepersad of Trinidad and Tobago. She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family across the United States, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Kingdom.

A wake will be held on Thursday, September 4, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Manomet, MA 02360. A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, September 6; details will be shared with family and friends.

Melissa will be remembered for her brilliance, her unwavering faith, kindness, generosity, and her deep love for family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, both personally and professionally.
