Catherine R. Fields, 52, of Winchester, IN, passed away February 2, 2026, unexpectedly at her residence. Cathy was born in Muncie, IN, on March 4, 1973, a daughter of Ruth G. (Arnold) Fields and the late William M. Fields. She was a 1991 graduate of Winchester High School and a Day Shift Trainer for Tyson Foods in Portland, IN, where she has devoted 30.5 years. Cathy was a member of Praise Chapel Church of God, former FFA secretary and treasurer. She loved animals, helping others, listening to Country Music, baking, and being outdoors. She will forever be remembered as the hardworking, happy go lucky, caring, social butterfly that she was. Cathy is survived by her mother Ruth Fields, her aunt Sue Aguilar, uncle John Aguilar, 5 cousins: Jacqueline Myers, Lynn Daubert, John Lare, Jane Brewer, Sarah Phelps and numerous friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father William Fields, 1 brother Curtis Martin Fields, grandparents: Gerald and Ruth Arnold, Albert and Francis Fields and aunt and uncle Naomi and George Lane. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12th, 2026, from 2-7 PM at MJS Mortuaries-Ridgeville Chapel. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 13th, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Praise Chapel Church of God with Pastor Adam Ritour officiating. Burial will follow in Weimer Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries-Ridgeville Chapel.
