Curtis Rines Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by MJS Mortuaries - Ridgeville Chapel on Dec. 14, 2025.
Curtis "Curt" Leroy Rines, 85, of Ridgeville, IN, passed away peacefully at his home on December 10th, 2025. He was born in Portland, IN, at home on February 17, 1940, to Clyde & Lillia Rines. He attended Gray High School before eventually going to work at Fort Recovery Industry where worked until he retired in 2001. Curt met the love of his life Mary-Ann in 1960, they went on to get Married on January 28, 1961, at the Nazarene Church in Ridgeville They welcomed 6 children and eventually 5 grandkids and 5 great grandkids. His free time was normally hunting or fishing or spending time with his grandkids . He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, a good western and a cup of plain coffee. He was quiet and reserved but would do anything for his family, especially if it made his wife happy. He will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing , his love for his grand & great grandkids and his calm, steady presence. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, dad or grandpa and will miss him everyday. We take comfort in knowing he's pain free and able to do what he enjoys most. He was preceded in death by parents Clyde & Lillia Rines, a brother Clyde Rines and a baby sister Flora Rines. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, 4 sons Clyde (Pam), Dwight (Penny), Vincent and Donnie, 2 daughters Carmen & Dianna, a granddaughter Kimberly (Todd), a grandson Randy (Hannah), 3 grandkids Becca , Davlyn & Bailey, and five great grandkids, Faith, James, Kingsley, Finley, Brayden, one sister Sally Leggit and one brother Dick Rines. A Private graveside service will be held at a later time for the family. Services have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Ridgeville Chapel.
