Ruth Ellen McCormick

1951 - 2025

Ruth Ellen McCormick, 73, of Ridgeville, IN, joined her Lord and Savior in Glory on Friday, February 28th, 2025, peacefully while in the company of family members at her residence. Ruth was born in Portland, IN, on March 14, 1951, a daughter of the late Betty (Wilson) and Clarence Dalrymple. She was a 1969 graduate of Redkey High School and the Librarian for the Ridgeville Public Library. Ruth was a member of Randolph Friends Church in Ridgeville, IN, and the Holten Michigan Gun & Bow Club, owner and operator of Family Hair Care in Ridgeville, IN, and formerly employed by Great Clips where she became area manager. She was a competition long range shooter and she enjoyed spending time with family, reading, working in her flower beds and watching the birds. Ruth is survived by 1 brother; Bob Dalrymple, 3 grandchildren; Courtney White (Zach), Brittany Bost, Jason Bost, son in law Ben Bost, 8 great grandchildren, and many "adopted" children, and grandkids. Known to all as Momma Ruth or Grammy Ruth. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold McCormick, daughter Cristi Bost, brother Russell Dalrymple, and sister Ruby Bellis. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Randolph Friends Church from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Edwards officiating. Burial will be held in Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ridgeville Public Library. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Ridgeville Chapel.
