Catherine Patricia Fleischauer, known lovingly as Patricia, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023, at her home in
Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Born on November 12, 1933, in Chicago, Patricia lived a vibrant life filled with love, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to her family.
Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Agnes Daly, and one of thirteen siblings, of whom only one survives. On July 3, 1954, she married the love of her life, Richard Charles Fleischauer, who predeceased her. Their union was blessed with four children: Richard Phillip Fleischauer (wife Carmen Rosa), Denise Cimino, Scott Louis Fleischauer (wife Janet), and Jeffrey Charles Fleischauer (wife Cathy Kelly). Patricia was a doting grandmother to thirteen grandchildren of which one beautiful Granddaughter, Nina Cimino, preceded her in death, and a great-grandmother to fourteen great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
Patricia devoted her life to raising and caring for her children, considering it her greatest life accomplishment. Her family remembers her as a loving, generous, and selfless woman who put the needs of others before her own. She was a pillar of strength and a beacon of love, setting an example for her children and grandchildren to follow.
In her earlier years, Patricia was an avid golfer, roller skater, and bowler. She also had a keen interest in art, often spending countless hours painting intricate designs and landscapes. Her creativity extended to knitting and crocheting, where she crafted beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Patricia also had a green thumb, planting beautiful flowers that brightened her home and brought joy to everyone who visited. She loved the challenge of large puzzles, often spending hours piecing them together.
As Albert Einstein once said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun," and Patricia embodied this quote in her hobbies and interests. She had a unique way of turning everyday items into works of art, showcasing her innovative spirit and artistic talent. Her creativity and love for life were infectious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Patricia's life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and selflessness. Her unwavering love for her family, her generous spirit, and her selfless nature were the hallmarks of her life. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a devoted wife, a doting grandmother, and a great-grandmother who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Though Patricia has left us in body, her spirit lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on, cherished and celebrated by all who knew and loved her. The legacy of love and dedication she leaves behind will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come.
As we mourn the loss of Patricia, we also celebrate her life, cherishing the memories we shared and the love she gave us. We take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to live on in each of us, guiding us with her love and wisdom. Patricia's life was a beautiful journey filled with love, joy, and creativity, and she will forever remain in our hearts.
