Catherine J. "Cathy" Geist

Catherine J. "Cathy" Geist, 64, of Plumville, passed away on October 4, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 19, 1960 to Frank "Ducky" and Virginia L. (Wheeler) Dalessio in Indiana, PA.
Cathy worked for Smith Bus Company as a bus driver for the Marion Center Area School District.
She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, going to camp and Benezette, and spending time with her best friend, Patty Weaver. Cathy was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved attending her grandsons' sporting events and was affectionately called "Grammie Smalls". She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ron Geist of Plumville; son, Chris (Jenn) Geist of Dayton; daughter, Tina Neal of FL; brother, Michael (LuAnn) Dalessio of Rural Valley; three sisters, Elsie (Tom "Pete") Slovinsky of Beyer, Diana Bellman of Plumville, Lisa (Ron) Gmys of Home; grandsons, Tyler and Logan Geist, Ethan, Alex, Hunter, and Hayden Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley.
An additional hour of visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral services to immediately follow at the funeral home.
The family asks that you dress casual for the visitation and service.
Burial will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
