Catherine Marie Hemberger

Catherine Marie Hemberger, 91, of Palm City, died Thursday, December 11, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late Ludwig and Margareta Mack on May 10, 1934. She graduated from Hempstead High School and married her high school sweetheart the late John Hemberger. Catherine and Jack lived in Westchester County where they raised four children. They relocated to Palm City, Florida in 1987.

Catherine and Jack were founding members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. She had an artistic flare and participated in the church boutique for 30 years.

Catherine was an active member of the Martin Downs community for 38 years and a member of the Village Preserve Club.

Catherine is survived by her children, Jack Hemberger of Port Salerno, FL, Laura and Bill Cashmore of Kansas City, MO, and Steve Hemberger of Woodstock, NY. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Village Club & Preserve, 2261 SW Racquet Club Drive, Palm City, Florida 34990 (Martin Downs) from 11 am - 1 pm (a light lunch will be served).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date to be posted for January 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St, Stuart, FL 34997.
