Richard Hemberger Obituary

Richard Hemberger
January 10, 1943 - January 18, 2025
Richard graduated from Wellesley High School, Wellesley, Massachusetts. He went in the Air Force, after graduation, and served 4 yrs. (active duty) and 2yrs. (inactive service). Richard met Mary Lou while he was stationed at Forbes AFB, Topeka, KS on 7/4/63, and they were married 7/4/1964. He spent most of his career in television. After moving to San Antonio, in 1982, he served as Executive Director of CTSA.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Lou. They had three children: Kelly Jean (deceased) and is survived by Carrie Krueger and Richard Jr. (R.J.) Hemberger & wife Heather Hemberger. He is also survived by grandchildren: David Davila, Stephen and Jason Krueger, Kelly Ray and Shelby Dell Hemberger, and great granddaughters Arabella Socorro and Mia Marie Davila. Richard is also survived by a brother: William "Bill" Hemberger & wife Sue Hemberger.
Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis (for research).
