Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Coolidge Jacobs; her sons, Horace Lee Jacobs, and Lawrence Ray Jacobs; her grandson, Matthew Jacobs; and her siblings, Raybon Scott, Alton Scott, Evelyn Scott, Mattie Neal Oxendine, and Hilton Scott Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Ted Lee Jacobs (Barbara Huggins) of Dillon, SC, Lynda Canady (Donald) of Lumberton, Leon Jacobs of Rowland, Jane Elizabeth Jacobs (Benny Dimery) of Rowland, and Mary Lisa Locklear of Pembroke; her sisters, Genner Lee Locklear, and Gearlyne Oxendine; her brother, Eartle B. Ms. Catherine dedicated over 30 years of her life sewing in the textile industry. Beyond her work, Ms. Catherine found great joy in caring for her family, whom she loved deeply. She was happiest in the kitchen, cooking hearty meals and creating cherished memories around the dinner table. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching Fox News and the I.D. Channel, always keeping up with the world and indulging in her favorite mysteries. She also had a fondness for her chewing tobacco-one of her signature comforts.
A visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Boles-Biggs Funeral Home Chapel, with the service beginning at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
