James Evans Obituary

Born in Robeson County on April 30, 1939, James was the son of the late Leslie and Addie Mae Mahn Evans. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later became a skilled and experienced carpenter. James found great comfort in reading his Bible. Above all, he loved and cherished his family.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Hilda Lewis, Shirley Thompson, Helen Walters, and Jessie Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Norris Evans of the home; his daughter, Donna Evans; and his sons, Scott Evans and wife Melissa, and Jonathan Evans; and two grandchildren, Monterrius Evans, and Montavius Evans.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025 at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
Services entrusted to Boles-Biggs Funeral Home in Lumberton.
