Catherine Pearson Edwards Duncan Levert

Catherine Pearson Edwards Duncan Levert, 95, of Carthage, Mississippi passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. Visitation will be held from 9;00 a.m.to 10;00 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2025, at Rocky Point Cemetery. Rev. Jeremy Tillman will officiate the service.

Catherine was born on December 12, 1929, to Freeman Pearson and Jessie Pearl Horn Pearson in Leake County, Mississippi. She retired from Garan Factory and was a lifetime member of Rocky Point Baptist Church. Catherine was an avid gardener and loved working in her yard. She had many beautiful flowers, and she shared them with family and friends.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Gerald) Barnes of Carthage, Mississippi and numerous stepchildren; grandchildren, Geremy Barnes, Britt Barnes, Shane Barnes, Richard Edwards, and Tiffany Edwards, and numerous step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Grant Barnes, Blayze Barnes, Hadley Barnes, and Breeze Barnes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman Pearson and Jessie Pearl Pearson; husbands, Richard L. Edwards, Wade Duncan, and Samuel Levert; and her sons, Ricky Edwards and Michael Edwards.

Serving as pallbearers are Gerald Barnes, Geremy Barnes, Britt Barnes, Shane Barnes, Grant Barnes, and Breeze Barnes.
