Catherine C. Miller

Catherine Crandall Miller passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the age of 91 at Providence Place in Dover, PA.

She was born on June 15, 1934 in Kansas City Missouri. She was the daughter of Catherine Hanley Crandall and James B. Crandall of Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from York Catholic High School in 1953 and married Kenneth W. Miller on July 19, 1954. They were married for 66 years until Kenneth's death in 2020.

She was employed by Central York School District for 28 years. Catherine volunteered with the Special Olympics and Catholic Harvest Food Pantry. She was an avid reader and loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed many camping trips, cruises and travel with Kenneth, especially in their motor home.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Michael and wife Janet of York and daughter Catherine Leiphart of Dallastown. She has five grandchildren Ryan Miller and wife Katrina, Lauren Rentzel and husband Levi, Adam Leiphart, Brandon Leiphart and wife Katie and Steven Leiphart and wife Kristin. She has two great grandchildren and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Engle and a brother James B. Crandall.

A private mass of Christian burial will be arranged at St. Mary's Catholic Church in York. She will be buried in Holy Saviour Cemetery with just family present.
