Cannon Funeral Home - Colonie (Albany)Marion (Covey) Fazzone, 97, passed away peacefully at home in Dover, PA with her loving family by her side on March 20, 2026.
Born November 16, 1928 in Albany, NY, Marion was the daughter of the late Fred Covey and Florence Covey Tryon. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Arthur A. Fazzone in 2023.
Marion created a legacy of service through her active participation in numerous school, social, and charity activities that forever will mark her place in the hearts and memories of the vast number of friends and relatives that she leaves behind.
Marion graduated from Ravena High School at the age of 16 and subsequently trained as a stenographer before starting a career with the New York State Commerce Department. With the birth of her second child, Marion left her position to become a devoted full-time stay at home mom where she enthusiastically supported her son’s school activities and extracurricular pursuits in sports, music and the Boy Scouts until their graduation.
In retirement Marion took active roles in a number organizations with her husband to include the Bradt Family Society, US Navy Armed Guard Organization, Lisha Kill Seniors Group, Elks Lodge, the Republican party, and participation in numerous veteran’s support activities. She and her husband also enjoyed extensive travel throughout Europe and North America.
Marion’s incredibly full life of service, friendship, and devotion to family and friends will leave an unfillable void for those that loved her.
Marion is survived by her sons Jeffrey and Brian Fazzone of Dover, PA and Alexandria, VA, respectively, and their wives Lynn (Mahoney) and Sachie (Hamada); grandchildren James and Michael Fazzone of Ashville, NC, and Angela Fazzone; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents Fred Covey and Florence Covey Tryon, brothers Edgar Covey, Frederick Covey, Robert Covey, Harold Covey, sister Ruth Cavallaro, and granddaughter Janette Fazzone.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marion’s family on 04 April 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society at bestfriends.org in memory of Marion K. Fazzone.
