SOUTH BETHLEHEM - Dean Alan Pemberton Sr., 84, of South Bethlehem, N.Y., passed away peacefully at St Peter's Hospital, on December 10, 2025, with his wife at his side. He lived a life marked by dedication, hard work and quiet strength.
After graduating from Ravena Coeymans Selkirk High School, he proudly served six years in the United States Navy where he developed the discipline and resilience that would guide him throughout his life. Following his service, he began a long and respected career as a truck driver, spending decades on the road and taking pride in the work that supported his family. He was last employed with New Penn until he retired. During his younger, healthier years, he enjoyed puttering around the house, woodworking, painting, and keeping his cars in tip top shape.
Dean was predeceased by his parents, Hilda and Arthur Pemberton of Ravena. Dean is survived by his loving wife, Carol, who attended to his daily needs for the last several months of his life.
He is also survived by his sister, Dawn Recene, of Delmar; his children, Dean Pemberton Jr. (Diane) and Kelly Kschinka (Bruce); and his two adult grandchildren, Quinn and Whitney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 10 a.m., in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
