Catherine R. "Cathy" Moeller

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Catherine "Cathy" R. Moeller, age 64, of Fairmont, MN, will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Cathy passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Catherine Rochelle (Pingel) Moeller was born on February 16, 1961, in Blue Earth, MN. She was the daughter of Maurice and Carla (Miller) Pingel.
On March 22, 1993, Cathy was united in marriage to Duane Moeller at Estes Park, CO. The couple resided in Fairmont where Cathy worked at the Channel Inn for over forty years. Cathy and Duane shared over thirty-one years together living life as true partners.
During her free time, Cathy enjoyed tending to her indoor and outdoor plants, trimming the bushes, and found therapy in spending time mowing the yard on the riding lawn mower. Cathy loved her home and would decorate throughout the year. She was a great cook and would make soups for winter as well as other things to stock the freezer. Cathy especially found joy in dancing and loved most the time she was able to spend socializing with her many friends.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Duane Moeller; brother, Gregory Pingel; sisters, Vickie Martin, and Karen Parlow; nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
Along with her parents, Maurice "Slim" and Carla Pingel, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Duane Pingel.
Cathy was a ray of sunshine everywhere she went, and a barrel of fun. She worked at the Channel Inn for over 40 years. Adventures with Cathy were priceless and always filled with love and laughter, and usually an "oops" from Cathy. We all knew nothing was Cathy Proof. It's a good thing she married a handyman. So many close friends over the years remember an adventure with Cathy. Keep those close to your heart. She will be missed so deeply by so many. Fly high our dear wife, sister and friend. We love you!
