Catherine Paiement Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 8, 2025.
Catherine Elydia Paiement passed away on August 17 2025. She was born on September 15, 1953 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to the late Jean-Claude Paiement and Mary Winnifred (later) Grimason. She moved to New Jersey with her mother and brother, Richard, and sister, Jo Ann. She loved to travel and found work in the travel industry in New Jersey and Philadelphia. It was in Philadelphia where she met her future husband before they moved to San Francisco. They opened and ran two travel businesses in the Bay Area before moving to Washington State and then to the Midwest.
Catherine was the most compassionate, loving and caring person who would do anything for anyone, especially her family. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed but her spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her so deeply.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Howes, loving daughter, Yvette Marie and her 3 grandchildren whom she adored, Melodie Grace, Charlotte Louise and Joseph Christopher. She loved her brother and sister so much and they are deeply feeling the loss of their big sister. She had a special place in her heart for her nephews and niece, Taylor, Ricky and Jacqueline.
A service will be held when she returns home to Prince Edward Island, Canada, next spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association at phassociation.org.
