Catherine “Sis” McIntire Pegues 1942 – 2025
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Catherine McIntire Pegues, lovingly known as “Sis,” a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She passed away peacefully at the age of 83.
Born in 1942, Sis grew up in the Garden District and spent most of her life in the family home built by her father in 1938. A devoted Catholic, she lived her life with faith, kindness, and a generous spirit. She dedicated her professional career to managing Skill Real Estate, where she built lifelong friendships and touched the lives of many in her community.
Sis was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Ronnie McIntire, Thomas O’Day; and her parents, Ronald Klein McIntire, Sr. and Alice McIntire.
She is survived by her daughters, Gretchen Case (Robert Wollman), Jacqueline Case (Mark Redding), and Leslie Pegues Molieri (Sergio Molieri); and her cherished grandsons, Case Redding, Frankie Molieri, and Rafa Molieri. She will be remembered as an avid gardener, friend to all, and lover of cats.
Funeral services will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Catholic Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Raphael Village in New Orleans or The Hospice of Baton Rouge, in Sis’s memory.
