She graduated form Barr Township High School in Montgomery, Indiana in 1958.
Catherine is survived by her husband, Richard Dennis Petroff, whom she married May 13, 1961; and four children, Deborah Lynn (Keith) Meyers of Jackson, Louisiana, Sharon Marie (Victor) Vuskalns of Long Valley, New Jersey, Kathleen Denise (John) Stewart of Huber Heights, Ohio and Douglas Michael (Jessica) Petroff of Indianapolis, Indiana; her sister, Loretta Withem of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her brother, John Walker of Loogootee, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave. Beech Grove, IN.
Catherine will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
