Catherine Ramian, 102, passed away January 31, 2026 at The Gables of Green where she was affectionately known as "Grandma". The family is grateful to The Gables of Green where she received wonderful care and affection. A special thank you to her best friend Val.
Catherine was born in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania on December 29, 1923 to Paul and Mary Kuffner. In 1942 she moved to Akron, Ohio and was a "Rosie the Riveter" for the Goodyear Aircraft Corporation where she worked on the right wing of the Corsair FG-1 fighter aircrafts. Catherine married Jerry Ramian on November 24, 1945 and together they built a life in Firestone Park. Catherine never met a stranger. She loved talking to people of all ages. If you visited Catherine, you never left without a gift or something to eat.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; son-in-law, Rich Ivcic; and daughter in-law, Ann Ramian. She is survived by her children; Mary Ivcic, Jerry J. And Robert (Alice) Ramian; grandchildren, Denise (Arne) Haak, Julie (Ron) Tsolis, Heather Scherba, Ann (Jimmy) Chung, Amy (Luigi) Costanzo; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Private internment will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
