Catherine Redfern, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Catherine was the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (O'Connor) Giblin.
Catherine worked for South Hampton Hospital and Eastern Long Island Hospital for many years as a Medical Technician. Later she worked for NYOH in Albany until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time on the ocean and listening to Irish music and being with her family.
Cathy is survived by her brothers Kevin and Frank, her sister Patty Wood, brother-in-law Rich, and Godson Brian Wood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Hospice Foundation 310 S. Manning Boulevard checks payable to The Community Hospice , Albany, NY 12208.
