Catherine was born to the late Vito and Palma (Giame) Randazzo in New York City on July 8, 1943. She attended school in New York and graduated from Copiague High School in Long Island in 1961. She soon met and was married to her soulmate Peter M. Rubas at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Long Island on September 28, 1963.They soon began their family as Peter began work for the state. Soon, Catherine began to work for New York State as well, beginning her 30 plus year career which she retired from in 1999. After relocating up to the North Country to be closer to their family, Catherine and Pete enjoyed retirement by traveling, going to the Casinos and spending time with family and friends. Before their move, Catherine would spend weekends cooking for the family and that was a typical Italian feast on Sundays with family.

Catherine is survived by her devoted husband Peter M. Rubas Sr. of Massena, NY of 62 years. A son Peter M. Rubas Jr., of North Lawrence NY, two grandchildren; Emily Rubas of North Lawrence NY and Ashley Rubas of Madrid NY, along with a sister Annette Platania of Copiague, NY including many loving nieces and nephews.
