Catherine M. (Donnelly) Sexton, age 71, of Rochester, MA, peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Born in Boston, MA, on October 13, 1954, she was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Patricia Donnelly and was the devoted wife of the late John J. Sexton.
Catherine dedicated over 20 years of her professional life as a Case Manager at Father Bill's / Main Spring House, where her compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment made a profound difference in the lives of countless individuals. In her personal life, Catherine was a gifted baker, delighting family and friends with her creamy cheesecakes and beloved Santa cookies, which were a festive staple at every Christmas gathering.
Her creativity was evident in her beautiful home, adorned with handmade holiday ceramics and elegantly sewn curtains that radiated warmth and comfort. Catherine's nurturing nature extended beyond her culinary talents; she cherished her family deeply and took pride in the memories they created together.
Catherine is survived by her loving children Nicholas, Katie-Anne and Amanda Sexton, along with her grandchildren: Landon Sexton-Murphy, Jameson Sexton-Murphy, and Mia Almonte. She is also survived by her devoted siblings: Arthur Donnelly and his wife Janine, Annemarie Yule and her husband Dan, Gregory Donnelly, and Annette Molineaux, who will forever hold her memory dear. Catherine was predeceased by her siblings: Geraldine Donnelly and Paul F. Donnelly.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Catherine's memory to Father Bill's / Main Spring House, ensuring that her spirit of giving continues to impact those in need.
Catherine will be profoundly missed, but her love, kindness, and vibrant spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
