OREGON, IL ~ Catherine Sobecki, 59, died on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at OSF St. Catherine Hospital of Dixon, IL. She was born on July 5, 1965, in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Ernest & Bernadine (Johnsen) Mack. Catherine had a passion for having fun, she loved motorcycles and would listen to heavy metal rock and roll music whenever she could. Her bearded dragon, Hunter, was one of her greatest companions, he moved with her several times over the years. Catherine loved to live life for her family, her children and grandchildren were her world. She loved to have big family gatherings whenever she could.
She is preceded in death by her father Ernest and her son-in-law James Derobertis. Catherine is survived and missed dearly by her loving daughters Heather Derobertis of Racine, WI; Victoria (Kyler) Sobecki) of Warren, AR; Jessica (Matthew) Sobecki of Lakevilla, IL; Mother Bernadine Mack of Oregon, IL; sister Bernadine Novoa of Oregon, IL; Brother Daniel (Tracey) Carrao of Rockford, IL; and grandchildren Adin, Christopher, Robert, Samantha, Kyler, Alaina, Freya, Beau, and Judson.
No services are scheduled at this time, cremation rites provided by Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home of Oregon, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are established in her name and may be directed to the family.
