Age 86, of Shaler Twp., born on February 10, 1939 passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Mitzi was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Talento. They shared 40 years of marriage together. She was the mother of Denise Kaminski (Dave), Samuel Talento (Sue), and the late Brian Talento; daughter of the late Francis Matesic and Catherine Miller; step-daughter of the late Herman Huddleston; sister of Francis “Butch” Matesic (Rose), Norene Wlodarski (Ernie); grandmother of Corina Kaminski (Jon), David Kaminski (Gessi); great-grandmother of Ryden, Kylee and Rocky.
She was a cosmetologist and also acquired her license to teach cosmetology. Later in life she found much joy in babysitting multiple children who called her Nanny.
She was a very active member of Sharpsburg Family Worship Center. She spent many days at the Lighthouse and Feeding the Flock Food Ministries.
She spent most of her time enjoying her swimming pool, time with her family, shooting pool, playing slot machines, coloring, shopping and attending the many events of her Great Grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her unique personality, her love of sweets, Steelers, Elvis Presley and Santa’s. She will be remembered the most for her kindness and the love that she showed everyone she met.
Celebrate Mitzi’s life with her family on Tuesday from 1-7 PM at PERMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 923 Saxonburg Blvd at Rt. 8, Shaler Township. Services will on Tuesday at 4 PM. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to Feeding the Flock Ministries, 490 Nixon Rd, Cheswick PA 15024 or Sharpsburg Family Worship Center, 200 8th St #2217, Sharpsburg, PA 15215.
