Ms. Catherine Doreen Tull

Catherine Doreen Tull, aged 88 years old of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. Catherine was born to the late Sonny Gittens and Gertrude Als on December 31st, 1936, in the parish of St. Michael on the island of Barbados.
Catherine was always interested in the healthcare field and was driven in her early twenties to pursue studies in the UK. She eventually moved on to Canada where she studied further and started working after qualifying as a nurse. After many years practicing and working in Canada she moved to the US where she settled and worked until she retired.
Catherine always strived to put spirituality first in her life and as such was instrumental in being one of the founding members of Angels on Assignment ChristianChurch located in West Hartford where she was eventually elevated to Mother Catherine Tull.
Mother Tull, as she was known, was the third of 5 siblings. The late Roland Als and the late Cora Tull of Barbados her older siblings, she is survived by Eric Als of the UK and Thelma Corbin of Barbados. She also leaves to cherish her memories nieces, Debra Henry of Manchester, Katherine Corbin Birch of Barbados, and nephews, Emmerson Corbin of Manchester and Anderson Corbin of Barbados. She also leaves 5 great nephews and 4 great nieces and Neesha Corbin wife of Emmerson Corbin and a host of many sisters, brothers, daughters and sons from her church.
