Cathy Bloodworth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home - Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel on Feb. 18, 2026.
Cathy Desma Taylor Bloodworth, age 68, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Born in Fort Oglethorpe, Cathy was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and attended Redeemer Church in Ringgold. Her life was marked by steadfast faith, enduring strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. A devoted Christian, Cathy's relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her life, guiding her through both seasons of joy and times of hardship.

Cathy retired in 2025 after many dedicated years in the property management industry, where she was respected for her professionalism, diligence, and caring spirit. A breast cancer survivor, she courageously battled numerous health challenges throughout her life, demonstrating remarkable resilience and grace. Through it all, her determination never wavered.

She was a loyal and fiercely loving protector of her family, always standing firm in support and encouragement. Her strength, wisdom, and deep love will be greatly missed and forever cherished by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Taylor; and her nephew, Daniel Reece.

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Marcia (Keydrick Swift) Craig; her beloved grandson, Cory; her mother, Austine Bowman; her siblings, Sheila (Mike) Gowan, Cindy (Stan) Gravitt, Marty Taylor, Tiffany (Daniel) Gregory, and Rhonda Hutt; and her nieces and nephews, Shanna Caldwell, Amy Ervin, Britni O'Neal, Marley Taylor, and Chase Thomas; her step-mother, Lynn Taylor; and her dear friend, Sabre Haskill.

A Celebration of Cathy's Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Redeemer Church, 124 Kittle Street, Ringgold, Georgia 30736, with Pastor Chris Gaither officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home – Fort Oglethorpe.
