Harold Eldean Bennett

December 27, 1946 – March 19, 2026

Harold Eldean Bennett, 79, of Rock Spring, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Harold was born in Magnolia, Arkansas, on December 27, 1946, to the late George and Winnie Bennett. When Harold was about four years old, they moved to the Kimball, Tennessee area, where he grew up and graduated from South Pittsburg High School in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. Harold loved being outdoors, where he enjoyed backpacking, hiking, fishing, and camping. Once he started his campfire, he could relax, enjoy a good cigar, and spend time with his grandbabies. He enjoyed visiting Gatlinburg, Tennessee, driving through Cades Cove, and attending Bigfoot Conventions. He loved good music and spending time with his family. He was a man's man-fiercely loyal and protective of his loved ones-and a man of strong faith in Jesus. Most of all, he loved his wife, family, and grandbabies. He was the best husband, father, papa, and friend. He was deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him. He will be truly missed.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, George Ham Bennett, Jr., and Winnie E. Bennett; brother-in-law, Jerry Blevins; and great-nephew, Tanner O'Leary.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Judith Wittona "Tona" Bennett; daughters, Candice W. (Charles Daniel) Burgan of Rock Spring, Georgia, and Windi (Chris) Clarkson of Ringgold, Georgia; sisters, Jackie (Dave) Daffron of Jasper, Tennessee, and Lajuan Blevins of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Dawson Ryder Locke, Madeline Savannah Burgan, and Kyli Chandler Locke; great-grandchildren, Brantley Colt Locke, Lila Rose Locke, and Dawson Elliot Locke; and several nieces and nephews.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for our family during this difficult time.
