Cathy Jo Carr, 68, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 5:20 pm, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 1, 1957, in Wabash, Indiana, to Victor B. and Juanita Patricia (Hatfield) Lehman, Sr.
Cathy graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in computer science. She married Lester H. "Sonny" Carr in Wabash on May 9, 2006; he died December 17, 2006. Cathy worked at Cyclone Seeder in Urbana, Heckman Bindery in North Manchester, and was also a homemaker. She attended St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wabash, where she was raised Catholic. Cathy enjoyed gambling at the casino, watching wrestling, being outdoors, mushroom hunting, gardening, but especially loved her family.
She is survived by five children; Bridget Conliff and Larry (Ashley) Walk, Jr., both of Wabash, Amanda (Matthew) Kerr of Urbana, Ryan (Heather) Carr and Bryan Carr, both of Wabash, 12 grandchildren; Christopher Conliff, Jr., Destiny Conliff, Andrew Conliff, Clayton Walk, Haylie Walk, Kaleb Kerr, Kaydence Kerr, Demitrious Bruning, Amaya Bruning, Malachi Bruning, Joslyn Bruning, and Treyton Craig, four great-grandchildren; Vivianne Garcia, Lilly Conliff, Isabella Gutierrez, Kaleb Kerr, Jr., and two brothers, Tom Piety of Thailand, and Art Lehman of Hampton, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Victor B. Lehman, Jr., and three sisters, Ruth Miller, Anna May Conn, Barbara Lynn.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Father Jay Horning officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery,. Friends may call Thursday, July 3, 2025, 9:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is the family of Cathy Carr.
