Cathy Marie Tookes Hale was born and reared in Montezuma, GA. She was the youngest of 4 children born to the late Arthur Lee and Bobbie Lee Tookes. She was raised by
Mae Hudson.
She was educated at Macon County High School and graduated in the Class of 1986. She furthered her education at South Georgia Technical Institute where she received an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She was an active member at First Baptist Church. Cathy moved to Gainesville-Hall County area where she was employed at Hall County Health Department and worked parttime at Burger King. The Love Story: Byron was asked to go to Burger King to meet one of his sisters not realizing he would meet the love of his life. From that day Byron and Cathy began to build their lives together. They were united in Holy Matrimony on July 10, 1993. To this union two beautiful blessings were born, Bryston Azarius and Wandriona Catheya.
For twenty-two years, Cathy was employed by the Gwinnet Police Department as a Public Safety Staffing Specialist. As an employee she received numerous awards; Customer Service Award, Good Conduct and Recruiting Unit of the Office of Professional Standards to name a few.
Cathy was preceded in death by her Father, Arthur Lee Tookes; her Mother, Bobbie Lee Tookes; Sister, Patricia Tookes; Brother, Harold Eugene Tookes.
Cathy leaves to cherish her memories: Husband, Byron K. Hale; Son, Bryston A Hale; Daughter, Wandronia C Hale; Father-in-law, Robert Lee "Libby" Hale; Sister-in-laws, Reverend Paula (Rev.
