Cathy Moore
Sylva - Cathy Brooks Moore, 61, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at her residence.
Cathy was a life long resident of Jackson County and a daughter of the late Burnette and Carolyn Brooks Green. Cathy was a graduate of Sylva Webster High School and she received her bachelor's degree in accounting from Western Carolina University. She loved cooking, canning, scrapbooking, photography, genealogy, and traveling. Cathy was a CPA with several different accounting firms in the region.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael Moore and one son, Juan Moore.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Reverend Eddie Stillwell and Reverend David Souderes officiating. Burial will follow at Old Savannah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are in the care of Appalachian Funeral Services of Sylva.
