Cathy Friedman Resnick Obituary
Cathy Friedman Resnick took her last breath in this life on April 12, 2024 at 12.41 pm at the age of 70. And with this single action, she actualized one of her greatest fears, dying in Indiana. Cathy has battled pancreatic cancer for the past nine months in a form of quiet bravery. But long before this took hold, she was one of the twin daughters of Maxine and Harold of Atlanta GA. Cathy was a hardcore and proud Atlanta native, only briefly living outside of its boundaries long enough to give birth to her only son, Robby Resnick, and realize how much she disliked living anywhere else. Especially up north. She grew up in The Temple and within the Atlanta Jewish Community of which she served off and on throughout her life. Her career path had many forks which she enjoyed as it allowed her to touch many lives. Many will know her as the Keyboard Queen of the South East, slinging IBM keyboards everywhere across the nation back when people really cared about having a quality mechanical keyboards on their desk. After that, she started one of the first food trucks I had ever seen, before they were cool! Later in life, she had the honor of serving others as they moved into the next life in elderly homes and performing duties surrounding other's passings for the Jewish Community of Atlanta. The latter being something she took great pride in. Beyond that, Cathy was an excellent home maker, party host, cook, and well rounded funny woman with a slightly twisted sense of humor. She was a repository of lyrics from 70's music and Les Misérables. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of crossing paths with her.
Cathy is survived by her son and daughter in law, Robby and Alyse Resnick, her grandson Rory Resnick, her brother and sister Marty and Carol, and her beloved pool cue. She also appreciates Chandler Brown and Lynn Neurath whom she loved dearly in this life and helped her through her battle.

I met Cathy online via the puppycam shibaholics and so enjoyed her enthusiasm and zeal for life whether working at the deli or home depot or providing services for her temple. Her commentary was always entertaining. We were both twins and we both shared curly hair whereas our twin had straight . She was one of a kind and will be missed so much . I am fortunate to have known here even though we never met in person.

I'm so sorry to hear that Cathy has passed. I came to know her and Lynn through the "Shibaholics" group started when a couple in California put their six Shiba puppies on the internet. There was a large group of us ahem, older women who spent hours a day watching them and commenting on their antics. From that group, the Shibaholics were born.
Cathy shared many stories with the group - funny, irritating, job related things. Just trying to get thru life. I remember how beautifully she decorated her & Lynn's deck each spring and summer. It was a sight to behold.
Robby, I know your Mom loved you as much as any mother could love her kid. She talked about you all the time, and yes, she shared stories of you with us also.
May Cathy's memory be a blessing to all who came across her path in this life.
