CATINA LACOLE HIGHTOWER

CATINA LACOLE HIGHTOWER, a beacon of kindness and love, was born on November 14, 1972, in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas. She departed this world too soon on November 18, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of self and unwavering devotion her family.

A proud member of the Class of 1991 from F.D. Roosevelt High School, Catina's thirst for knowledge led her to further her education at Southplains Jr College, Dallas Baptist University, and the University of Phoenix, where she cultivated not just her own intellect but also ignited curiosity in those lucky enough to cross her path. As a professor at Remington College, a parole officer, and a correctional officer, she dedicated her life to empowering others, serving as a pillar of support and guidance for countless individuals throughout her career.

Catina was not just an educator and a mentor; she was an embodiment of nurturing love. Known for her joyful spirit, she effortlessly blended goofiness with profound intelligence, creating an inviting atmosphere for all who knew her. Her kindness was a hallmark of her personality, as she continually sought to help others, and her laughter often echoed like music in the hearts of her family and friends.

Family was the cornerstone of Catina's existence. She found immense pride and joy in her two beloved sons, Brian Hightower, Jr. and Jordan Hightower, who were her greatest accomplishments. She cherished the bonds shared with her brothers Cleon Mitchell, III and Michael McDonald, along with her sisters Michelle Mitchell, Martha Mitchell, and Dashawna Burks. The love they shared was a testament to her nurturing nature, and they will carry her spirit forward in their lives.

In her leisure time, Catina relished the simple joys of life, whether it be dancing, fishing, or camping, with her younger years featuring spirited moments on the basketball court. Perhaps even more delightfully, she had a charming passion for watching "Cops," drawing both laughter and lessons from the world around her.

A Celebration of Life honoring Catina will take place at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-ALLENE on November 28, 2025, commencing at 1:00 PM.
