NAKIA DEAON BROOKS

Nakia Deaon Brooks, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 50. He was born on December 12, 1974, and his warmth and spirit touched the lives of many throughout his life.

Nakia was known for his loving nature and the genuine kindness he extended to everyone he met. A cherished member of his family, he embodied the qualities of a good person, endearing himself to all. His vibrant personality drew many friends to him, and he was particularly well-loved for his infectious smile and joyful spirit.

Nakia had a passion for video games, often spending hours in enthusiastic competition and laughter with his cousins. These moments were highlights in his life, bringing joy and bonding with those he held dear. He also shared a special connection with his grandmother, often cooking together, which fostered cherished memories.

His presence will be immensely missed by those whose lives he touched. To honor and celebrate Nakia’s life, a viewing will be held on November 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location from 11:00 AM. A graveside service will take place later that day at 1:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, situated at 6000 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX, where he will be laid to rest.

Nakia Deaon Brooks will forever be remembered for the love he gave and the joy he brought into the lives of everyone around him. May his legacy of kindness and love continue to inspire those who knew him.
