Mr. Gerald Martin "Jerry" Hightower

Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Martin Hightower, 55, entered into rest on Saturday, November 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Delk Hightower, and a sister, Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Hightower.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1 o'clock at True North Church, 1060 West Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC 29841. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 o'clock in the Multipurpose Building. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the True North Church Security Team.
Jerry was born in Denmark, South Carolina. He and his family proudly owned and operated Hightower Welding and Machine Shop. He was a dedicated member of True North Church, faithfully serving on the Security Team and previously as a Youth Group Leader.
A lifelong outdoorsman, Jerry found joy in hunting, exploring in his Jeep, watching NASCAR, and cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoyed staying active and working out. Above all, Jerry treasured the time he spent with his daughters and his grandson, Russ, who were the light of his life.
Left to cherish Jerry's memory are his mother, Mary Hightower Dice (Merchon), of Clearwater, South Carolina; his daughters, Maggie Hightower Alverson (Matt), of Waynesboro, Georgia, and Anna-Kate Hightower (Colby), of Edgefield, South Carolina; his brother and sister, Gene Hightower (Carla), of Gloverville, South Carolina and Sara Adkinson (Chris), of Graniteville, South Carolina; his step-sister, Shannon Brown (Justin), of Trenton, South Carolina; his beloved grandson, Russ Alverson; his uncle, Robert Hightower (Rene), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
