Cayetano T Echavez Jr.

Cayetano T Echavez Jr 77 of Jackson died Saturday April 13, 2024 at home. Born in Carcar City, Cebu Philippines, he came to the US over 30 years ago. He resided in Howell for 10 years before moving to Jackson in 2018. He earned his BS in Economics from San Jose Recoletos University in the Philippines. He worked as a Sales Manager for Hudson Toyota in Jersey City for 15 years before retiring in 2022. In retirement he worked for the Howell Walmart for couple of years. He was a very religious man attending both St Veronica Church, Howell and You-Tube Masses. He liked playing tennis, electronic games, watching action movies and looking for bargains at the Walmart or Dollar Store. He enjoyed cooking Philippine cultural food such as Humba (Pork Stew) and Lechon (Roasted Pig). Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Merilin R Echavez, daughter, Kyle Iris E. Cabrera and her husband Darwin, siblings, Victor, Zaldy, Ping, Edna & Eva Echavez & Marian Noel and 3 grandchildren, Donovan, Neil Collin and Sophia. Visitation is Saturday 2-6 PM with a 3:30 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home 125 S. Cooks Bridge Rd Jackson.
