Caylah Rose Cole, 30, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Born on February 11, 1995, in Johnson City, Kansas, Caylah brought a unique light into the world that touched those around her. Known affectionately as “Pookie,” she carried a spirit that was both vibrant and deeply personal.
She is lovingly remembered by: her father, Greg Cole (Christine) and children Zaidyn and Dawson, her brother, Chase Cole (Heather) and their children Harper and Carter Cole; her maternal grandparents, Shannon and Roseanne Merkle; her paternal grandparents, Homer and Mary Cole; her uncle, Rae Merkle and daughter Emerson, her uncle and aunt, Gene and Amy Cole; 2 cousins Tyler Cole and Haley Howe, her best friend Chasidy Darby and her fiancé Jerran Sweeden, as well as other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Michele Lee Cole, and grandmother Nancy Rose Cole.
Caylah found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed eating pickles and relaxing to the sounds of country music. In quieter moments, she could often be found watching her favorite crime dramas such as Law & Order: SVU and Criminal Minds, drawn to their compelling stories and characters.
A memorial service will be held on September 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Chapel at Oklahoma City Cremation, 807 W. Wilshire Blvd., Oklahoma City.
