CD Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Callaham-Hicks Funeral Home on Feb. 12, 2026.
CD Jackson was born on November 1, 1933, to the late Lillian Hall Jackson and the late Precious Jackson, in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He received his education in Spartanburg County schools, where a strong foundation of family values and hard work was formed.

CD was united in holy matrimony to the late Susie Mae Jackson and from that blessed union five children were born. Known for a joyful and jolly spirit, a giving heart, and a caring and loving nature, CD left a lasting impression on everyone encountered. Life's simple pleasures brought the greatest joy. Time outdoors, meticulous yard keeping, and moments shared with family were especially cherished. A fondness for vanilla milkshakes, an enjoyment of wrestling, and a love for the color blue added to a personality that was warm and memorable. Faith remained important, and CD was of the Baptist belief.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his beloved wife, Susie Mae Jackson; and siblings, Birdie M. Thompson, Nellie Wingo, Reverend Jessie Jackson, Clyde Jackson, Otis Jackson, and Bobby Jackson.

Left to honor and cherish a life well lived are children, Elizabeth Miller of Inman, SC, Gloria Frazier of Campobello, SC, Lee (Peggy) Jackson of Boiling Springs, SC, Reverend Angel Jackson of Campobello, SC, and Vicki (Randy) Black of Landrum, SC; siblings, Lucille Twitty of Landrum, SC, Walter (Georgia) Jackson of Campobello, SC, and Josephine Jackson of Landrum, SC; grandchildren, Robert (Tonya) Miller, Antwon Frazier, Lee (Dana) Jackson, Bryce Frazier, Mario (Kristi) Jackson, Jasmine (Josh) Jackson, and Cameron Black; a host of great grandchildren; in-laws, Edna (Michael) McDowell and Samuel (Janie) Watson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On the morning of Thursday, February 12, 2026, CD transitioned peacefully from labor to rest. A legacy of love, faith, and family remains, and a life well lived will never be forgotten.
