Mr. Cecil M. Brewer II

Cecil Brewer II was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, IL, to Vera and Cecil Brewer I. Known for his warmth, affection, and strong work ethic, Cecil also had a sharp sense of humor that endeared him to many. In addition to his many achievements, Cecil proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed the discipline and resilience that would serve him throughout his life. In the early 1990s, he relocated to Milwaukee, WI, to embark on a new chapter in his journey toward sobriety, ultimately achieving an impressive 29 years of sobriety. He served as an inspiring figure in the Narcotics Anonymous community, and his insightful guidance will be deeply missed. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Cecil offered love and support to those around him, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Cecil is survived by his mother, Vera Norfleet, and his sisters, Sherry Brewer Bronfman and Cecelia Brewer. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Brewer I, his son, Cecil Brewer III, and his brother, Terance Brewer. He is also survived by his children, Carla Ramos (Rey) and Nichole Nicholson, and his grandchildren, Cecil, Nikita, Keishla, Angel, Giovanni, Gianna, Ray Jr., Briana, De'Cole, Dazai, and Devontae. Additionally, he leaves behind nieces and nephews Dominique (Marlon), D'Andria (Jack), Andrew, Hannah, Vanessa, and Benjamin, as well as a multitude of children he considered his own and a supportive community of friends and family.
A memorial service will be held on September 15, 2024, from 1 PM to 6 PM at The Venue at 8700 W Brown Deer Rd, Milwaukee, WI.
