Cecil Eugene Brownlee

Mr. Cecil Eugene Brownlee, Jr. peacefully departed his life on Thursday, January 8th, 2026 at his residence.
He was born September 20th, 1940 to the late Cecil Eugene Brownlee, Sr. and Canary Keese Brownlee. He was preceded in death by sons Kenneth D. Brownlee and Bradford S. Morris and one grandson Khran Ford.
He graduated from Westside High School in 1958 and later moved to Brooklyn, New York where he was employed by Rockland State Hospital in Rockland County, New York.
In the 1980's he relocated to Anderson, South Carolina where he was employed by Clark Schwebel and later Duke Power where he retired from in 1997.
He was a faithful member of Evergreen Baptist Church for many years before his declining health. He sang on the Gospel Choir and the Men's Choir as well as serving on the Trustee Board.
He loved his family, fashion, cars, westerns and most of all, spending time outside in his man cave.
He leaves to cherish his devoted wife of 25 years Etoy H. Brownlee and his only sibling Margaret Brownlee Nance, his children Sheila Brownlee, Alison Greenlee (Kinyida), Tamara Brownlee, Kendra Brownlee of Anderson, South Carolina and Debra Cunningham (Howard), Russell Parker and Melissa Geer (Curby) of Seneca, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews.
