Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Ray Price Jr. will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 2, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Joey Ratcliff and Rev. Tommy Jennings officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn City Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 AM – 2 PM Sunday, November 2, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel.
Mr. Price, 61, passed away Wednesday October 29, 2025, at his home in Neshoba County where he lived most of his life. He was a firefighter for many years and was a retired US Air Force Veteran and received numerous awards such as Air Force Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal with 6 oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal with 1 service star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Ribbon Short, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, AF Longevity Service with 2 oak leaf clusters, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with 1 hourglass service, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon (Rifle). He was deployed 9 times and served as Team Leader and other various jobs while deployed, but his full-time position was Assistant Chief of Operations at Columbus Air Force Base. He was a member of The First Methodist Church, and his hobbies were spending time with his grandkids and being outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Ray Price Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Price of Philadelphia; mother, Conner Price of Philadelphia; daughter, Cecily Waltman (Lane) of Quitman; son, Bass Price (Virginia) of Brandon; (5) grandchildren, Price Caroline Waltman, Luke Waltman, Oliver Waltman, Yates Price, Willa Price.
Pallbearers are Mike Chunn, Clint Lott, Tommy Cox, John Alford, Steve Molpus, Jeremy Chalmers, David Bailey, James Mars.
Honorary pallbearers are Stan Graham, Eric Prince, Stevie Stovall, Ike Martin, Mike Chandler, Steven Curtis and Brothers in Arms.
Family request in lieu of flowers please make donation to First Methodist Church.
